Port Milwaukee can utilize its City Heavy Lift Dock (CHLD) and available lifting capability to handle a diverse mix of cargoes. The Port can available use of its Stiff Leg Derrick, which is capable of lifting 440,000 pounds at a 52’ radius. As cargo necessitates, the Port complements the Stiff Leg Derrick’s heavy lift capacity with additional crawler cranes, including lifting capabilities up to 300 tons. The Port’s crawler cranes are mobile and can be relocated as needed to service any of the Port’s Seaway draft vessel berths, providing Port Milwaukee stevedores with unique, operational flexibility when multiple vessels are in port.
